Mr. Naoki Katsuragawa, born in Kanagawa prefecture in 1974, was brought up mainly in Tochigi prefecture.

He was a member of a science club when he was in junior high school. At the science club, he studied the mechanism of formation of frost columns (how the crooked frost columns is formed) and artificially reproduced the mechanism. He received the Japan Student Science Award and Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Encouragement Prize (second prize) for that study.

After he graduated from Utsunomiya High School, he got into Keio University and majored in mechanical engineering. He studied the process of fuel injected from spray nozzle being pulverized in the university.

After he graduated from Keio University, he worked for Nippon Paint Co., Ltd. He worked on research and development of aluminum electrodeposition paint at the central research institute in Osaka.

After that, he had set his heart on becoming a Patent Attorney, and worked for patent firms, Yano International Patent Attorneys Office and Kaji & Suhara Patent Attorneys Office.

He was qualified as a Patent Attorney in 2000.

He was qualified as a specific infringement lawsuit counsel in 2003.

He founded Katsuragawa Int’l Patent Office in Osaka-city.

He is especially good at Patents of mechanic field, control field, and software field. He is also good at Design Patents.

As an Attorney, he has experience of raising opposition to the grant of the patent, appeal for invalidation, appeal for correction, litigation rescinding the trial decision, and entering an appeal to the Supreme Court.

He has also experience of being a curator in a demand of a patent infringement and a suit of damages sued for a few dozen million yen.

Also, he was qualified as Fundamental Information Technology Engineer, Software Development Technician, Technical Engineer (Network), and Data Base Specialist.

He likes programming, playing the piano, and drinking.

He is not good at eating hen-of-the-woods (species of polypore mashroom).
